Ranked seasons explained: how seasonal SR resets work, what carries over, and every end-of-season reward tier including what the Top 250 bracket earns.
Ranked Play runs in seasons that follow the game's content calendar, with mid-season updates that can add playlists or adjust the ruleset. Each season keeps its own SR table, so leaderboards and records on this hub are always scoped to a single season.
When a new season starts, the boards reset here as well. Previous captures stay in the history, so a player's climb through an older season remains readable on their profile.
Ranked does not carry your full rating into the next season. Players are placed back near the bottom of the ladder and re-climb, which is why the #250 cutoff is low in the first days of a season and rises quickly afterwards.
Peak SR is recorded per season. Comparing peaks across seasons is only meaningful when you keep the reset in mind.
Rewards come from two directions. Progress rewards unlock as you reach each division for the first time in a season and typically include weapon charms, emblems, stickers and calling cards. End-of-season rewards are granted for the highest division you finished in and usually include a division-specific emblem and camo-style cosmetics.
Rewards are cosmetic. They do not affect SR, matchmaking or in-match performance.
Finishing inside the Top 250 is the highest recognition the mode offers: an exclusive emblem and calling card tied to that season, plus the placement number itself. Because the bracket is capped at 250 players per mode, the final hours of a season are the most volatile part of the year on the leaderboards.
